At WIRE, we believe that you are the expert of your own life, and work with you to enable options and choices.  Our goal is gender equity, ending all kinds of oppression that affect women and gender diverse people, so that everyone can thrive.  

Our free support line and walk-in centre provides a safe space for women, non-binary and gender diverse people in Victoria.  We are often the first point of contact for people when they are facing an issue and don’t know where to access support.  

We offer free support, information and referrals on any issue, including family violence, financial wellbeing, housing, mental health, relationships and more.   

At WIRE, we work at the individual and level, as well as with business and government, to make tangible change that empowers women, non-binary and gender diverse people to live our lives with dignity, joy, and control of our own lives.

Our community capacity building projects and advocacy work to make change at a systemic level, to fix what’s causing the problems that we hear about every day on the phone. 

WIRE is a not-for-profit organisation, and we rely on donations as well as funding from government and philanthropic partners to continue our work.  

From the 5th – 9th June 2023, every dollar you donate will be doubled. Double the impact of your donation this end of financial year and spark real change for gender equity.
